1. Has an important “Try out” or “Recruiting Showcase” coming up and needs to work on improving their sprint time.
2. Is moving to a higher level of competition in their sport and needs to improve their speed to be more competitive.
3. Has a real opportunity to break into the starting lineup but needs to show measurable progress in their speed and agility.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Private Speed Training, Agility Training, and Cardiovascular Conditioning for young athletes ages 10 and up
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Speed Training
Each session is a 1 hour, one or two days a week, sessions are conducted over a continuous 4 to 8 week period. This course designed to help athletes learn proper running mechanics. We use speed drills with particular emphasis on acceleration, coordination, balance development, body control, and first step quickness to reinforce the techniques learned. Each session breaks down a certain component that is necessary to build understanding of proper running mechanics.
Agility Training
Each session is a 1 hour, one or two days a week, sessions are conducted over a continuous 4 to 8 week period. Athletes learn proper agility basics. An emphasis is placed on lateral speed and multi-directional movement techniques that support actual sports movement patterns. These techniques are reinforced through agility drills run at full speed.

Outside, our stunning campus boasts an outdoor classrooms, four athletic fields and lots of rolling hills for outdoor camp activities, including a nature trail and gaga pit.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: In addition to our theatre, dance and filmmaking art camps, and our soccer, tennis and ultimate sports camps, and our signature Gatorland Day Camp, we offer several "special interest camps". In particular this year, we are offering four cooking camps, two sessions of babysitting training, two sessions of drivers education and a new jump rope camp. We will conitinue with our community service camp, where each day, we venture into the Baltimore community and give back! Also new for this year, we have several academic camps including creative writing, algebra, STEAM and spanish.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 4 cabin groups, or "hills," with 4-8 rustic cabins per hill, as well as 3 air-conditioned, dormitory-style buildings. All areas have access to multiple volleyball courts, basketball nets, our outdoor pool, and gaga pit. A modern dining hall and health center, along with rustic trading post, fellowship hall, and outdoor chapel are all located along the Chester River.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Pecometh is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Established in 1946, we have been providing campers with life-changing, God-inspired experiences for over 70 years. Summer Camp sessions are typically five days in length, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending after lunch on Fridays. Depending on the program, campers stay in rustic cabins or dorm-style facilities, and are supervised by our trained staff 24 hours a day.
All of our counselors are at least 18 years of age or graduated from high school and have received professional training, including First-Aid & CPR/AED certifications and bullying awareness and prevention training. Our Lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross. There is a nurse on site at all times and the closest major hospital is less than 15 miles away. Our dining hall serves up tasty, nutritious meals and campers can have all they want, including fruit and salad bar at lunch and dinner.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Pecometh offers a Staff-in-Training leadership program for participants who are completing 10th or 11th grade. This is an intensive 2-week program that includes hands-on leadership training and experience, and earns participants nearly 60 volunteer hours! CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Pecometh offers a campership program for families in need of assistance. We also offer a grant program for campers who receive federal assistance. OVERVIEW
Join the Leadership Exploration and Development Program (LEaD) and prepare to be a part of the next generation of ESF Leaders. Discover your unique leadership abilities and gain rewarding experience that will help you to develop the skills to be a future ESF counselor or coach, as well as a productive member of your home and school communities. Through immersive leadership workshops, hands-on mentoring and apprentice opportunities, team building initiatives and philanthropic service learning experiences, the LEaD Program will prepare you for the very valuable job of making a difference in the lives of children.

- An adventure-based field trip

- Exposure to ESF experts and talented activity specialists

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: One and two-week overnight sessions for boys and girls ages 8-16 located on 211-acres overlooking the Chesapeake Bay in North East, MD (halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia). Traditional camp program with a choice of activities: sailing, waterskiing, ropes course, archery, sports, creative and performing arts, horses, pool, and zipline.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our One-Week Campers sleep in rustic cabins and located nearby are clean, modern and newly renovated bathrooms with shower facilities and electricity. Lodges for Two-Week Campers are modern yet rustic-looking, 4300 square foot, two-story buildings that each house at least 48 campers and staff. TIC Summer Camp is the premiere sports and technology option for kids ages 7-16 in the DC area. Four two-week summer sessions in which campers design their own project in one of the following: programming, filmmaking, animation, robotics, graphic design, digital photography and digital music. Sports include: soccer, basketball, volleyball, capture the flag, handball, ultimate frisbee, gaga, gymnastics and many more; extra cost options in drama and tennis. SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Because of our 4:1 teaching ratio and the supportive nature of our staff, TIC has had success with children who have mild learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADD, ADHD). We have also served children with physical disabilities (e.g. deafness or spina bifida). However, our staff is not trained in special education. Therefore, parents of children with behavioral conditions which require very close supervision must, before submitting an application, discuss with us whether TIC is appropriate for their child.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At TIC, campers choose between one of the following: Programming, Filmmaking, Digital Music, Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Robotics, and Animation. Over the course of a two week session, campers create a project in their chosen option.
In addition to technology, campers at TIC participate in a half day of athletics. They get 3-4 hour long periods a day ranging in a variety of traditional and non traditional sports.

CAMP FACILITIES: Glenelg Country School campers enjoy opportunities to utilize the pool, athletic center, tennis courts, playing fields, theater, outdoor amphitheater, technology labs, pond, outdoor classrooms, and other amenities.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Glenelg Country School has been offering quality summer programs for over 30 years. Our Summer programs provide children entering Pre-K4 through grade 12 with a fun and educational experience in a relaxed and safe environment. These programs include traditional, adventure, sport, and specialized day camps and sport clinics. A Counselor-in-Training program is also offered for high school aged students.
Extended day program, bus service, swim lessons, and pool memberships are also available. Our summer programs are staffed by members of the Glenelg Country School faculty, supplemented by other qualified professionals, and assisted by junior counselors; all staff members undergo a criminal background check and we maintain a camper-to-staff ratio of less that 10 to 1.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Counselor in Training Program offers opportunities for older campers to work on leadership skills during the summer, including hands-on activities, team-building, communication, and problem-solving.
